Jacky’s launches summer specials

IT retailer and wholesaler Jacky’s Electronics has put together an inviting menu of special offers to tempt customers into purchasing technology kit during the next month at its Dubai-based stores.

IT retailer and wholesaler Jacky’s Electronics has put together a tempting menu of offers to entice customers into snapping up technology kit during the next month. As well as promotional pricing and bundling offers, Jacky’s will also offer interest free credit terms for customers paying with a Citibank credit card. The mid-summer IT promotion, running until June 30th 2004, will include special offers on a wide range of products including notebooks, digital cameras, MP3 players and projectors.

“As a retailer that caters to diverse groups, we need to ensure that we meet the requirements of all segments,” said Soni Tolani, executive director at Jacky’s Electronics. “Just as we develop promotions for homeowners, we need to create incentive offers for the IT shopper. We felt that the time was right to introduce a promotion to benefit our IT savvy customers.”

Buyers whipping out a Citibank, Mashreqbank or American Express credit card at Jacky’s checkouts will take advantage of specific promotions. Citibank cardholders will be able to pay for their purchase in monthly instalments at 0% interest while Mashreqbank cardholders will receive triple points for their card bonus scheme. American Express cardholders will be entered into a raffle to win free products.

Raffles and triple points are nice to have but the offer that holds real value here in the mind of the consumer is the interest free credit. Buying expensive IT and electronic kit on an interest free basis holds great appeal to the average consumer. Turning an expensive price tag into a series of manageable bite-size chunks gives retailers a huge psychological advantage in persuading customers that they can easily afford expensive items.
