Indian carrier announces it is set to start daily services from next month.
Indian carrier Jet Airways will launch daily services to Hyderabad from Dubai next month, it was announced on Wednesday.
The new route, which launches on August 16, will be Jet Airways’ fifth service to Dubai, with two daily flights currently operating from Mumbai. It also provides daily flights from Delhi and Chennai.
Services on a Boeing 737-800 from Hyderabad will leave at 9.30am, arriving in Dubai at 11.50am. The return journey leaves the emirate at 12.50pm and touches down at 6pm.
“With the growing popularity of Dubai as a leading business and leisure destination, there has been an increasing demand for enhanced air connectivity to the Gulf emirate from Southern India,” said Jet Airways’ CEO Wolfgang Prock-Schauer.
“We are confident that the new service from Hyderabad will be well-appreciated by travellers and will complement our existing services from India.”
Return fares for the Dubai to Hyderabad service start at AED995 ($270) for economy seats. The offer is valid for travel from August 16-22. Return journeys have to be completed by August 30.
Shakir Kantawala, Jet Airways’ general manager for Dubai and the Northern Emirates, said: “Hyderabad is another step to further enhance the Indo-Gulf connectivity. Dubai is home to one of the largest number of Andhra expatriates.
He added the new service will be popular among people originally from Hyderabad who are now working in the UAE.
Once the Hyderabad service is launched, Jet Airways will operate 17 frequencies in total to Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Dubai from several Indian cities. For all the latest travel news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
I thank Jet Airways for starting Dubai - Hyderabad service, however it is not of much help for Andhraties residing at Abu Dhabi and are really eagerly longing to see when Abu Dhabi - Hyderabad services will start. Also appreciate that Jet Airways is considering to start direct services between these two cities. request them to expedite this and make this happen asap. This will help all Abu Dhabi Andhra origin people by cutting down travel time between Abu Dhabi - Dubai / Sharajah. Regards A.S.Rao - 050-4502879
Why Jet Airways is not thinking of connecting Dubai/Abu Dhabi to Bangalore? Emirates has 3 flights a day to Bangalore from Dubai and Kingfisher has just started daily flights to Bangalore.
On the one hand It's good opportunity for Andhraties to utilize the JetAirways services from UAE as well but on the other DXB-HYD flight schedule is seems to be a bit tough/inconvenient. If it starts from Dubai in the evening time, more andhraties can utilize their services.
i think it is a good opportunity warangal karimnager nelgonda pepole it is good service and best feir
Andhra people are eager to start direct flight to vijayawada.
