Saudi General Directorate of Passports is recruiting women to work at passport controls for the first time
Saudi Arabia, which is opening up its conservative society, said 107,000 women applied for just 140 vacancies to work in airports and land border-crossings.

Saudi Arabia in September said it will allow women to drive from June this year, ending a decades-long ban. In January, female fans attended official soccer matches for the first time.
