Last month, the Middle East Job Index Survey reported that 9 in 10 employers are planning to hire, while the region’s hiring index increased by 12 points pointing to a significant growth in hiring activity when compared to 2017.

Middle East job website Bayt.com reported that close to 50,000 new jobs were made available on the site between July and September 2018.

In its quarterly job announcements report, Bayt.com said the number of online jobs in Q3 jumped 35 percent, compared to the previous quarter.

Last month, the Middle East Job Index Survey reported that 9 in 10 employers are planning to hire, while the region’s hiring index increased by 12 points pointing to a significant growth in hiring activity when compared to 2017.

“So far this year, around 140,000 jobs were announced on Bayt.com, which is about how many jobs were announced during 2017 in total,” said Omar Tahboub, general manager of Bayt.com.

“We can be certain that 2018 will be a very successful year in terms of job availability and talent matchmaking on Bayt.com.”

Tahboub said companies are also using Bayt.com to search for candidates CVs and to contact them for unadvertised vacancies. The website’s database surpassed 34,000,000 members who regularly engage in job seeking and career planning activities. With half a million daily visits, Tahboub added that Bayt.com has become one of the most trafficked sites regionally and globally.

“Because millions of professionals rely on our site and tools for their careers, we never stop advancing our technologies and exploring new ones,” he said.

“We rolled out a series of AI-powered features that recommend highly personalized jobs and opportunities for our members. We also powered our CV Search technology with ontology backed by AI to enhance candidate search and selection precision. With these strides and the growing hiring activity we look ahead to a very promising end of year and a stronger one around the corner.”
