A joint venture between Indian construction and engineering firm Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Oman's Zubair Corporation, has won a $243 million contract to build a hotel and apartments for the Asian Beach Games that will take place in the Gulf state next year.

The construction contract for the hotel and marine apartments includes the building of administrative offices, an athletes' village and a mosque, the company said on Sunday.
