Judgement day

Over the past two months you have been sending me your nominations for the first facilities management Middle East Awards.

Over the past two months you have been sending me your nominations for the first facilities management Middle East Awards.

And yesterday (Sunday 25 May), the experienced judging panel sat down to go through the 60 plus entries to determine the 15 award category winners and shortlists.

It was a lengthy and difficult process, with some entries creating debate and discussion due to the quality and quantity of the nominations.

But by 4:30pm, CIBSE member Kit Ord, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) Marwan Bin Ghilata, editor of Arabian Business Sean Cronin and myself decided on the winners.

While I'm sure those of you that entered are dying to know whether or not you or your company has been awarded one of the 15 awards, I'm afraid you will have to wait another two weeks until the winners are announced at the prestigious gala dinner being help at the Grosvenor House Hotel, on Monday 9 June.

The event was launched to reward and recognise those in the industry who have proven dedication, commitment and innovative ways to a development's efficient and sustainable operability.
