Companies will be invited to bid for the main construction package on the US $150 million (550 million AED) ‘The One Tower' in July, while tenders for the piling works contract will be sent out on 22 May.
Developer Al Yasat Holdings has hired Dewan Consultants as the project consultant for the 35-floor project, which will be constructed in Dubai Technology, Electronic Commerce and Media Free Zone Authority (TECOM), and will be accessed via Sheikh Zayed Road.
It will feature high-end office space and a number of additional facilities including a 24-hour business centre, health club, spa, restaurant and basement parking for 124 cars. The ground level will feature a furniture showroom for interiors firm, The One.
Piling work will begin at the end of May and the tower is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2009.
"This is the first prestigious tower we have launched," said Mukram Ulla Khan, CEO, Al Yasat Holdings.
Khan said that further projects will follow, including residential towers on Al Sorouh Shams project in Abu Dhabi.
