Dubai auditions for show held at hotel, with Burj Al Arab backdrop
Jumeirah Beach Hotel is set to feature prominently on television sets around the Middle East this weekend on an episode of Arab Idol.
The hotel hosted the third season Dubai auditions for the MBC TV talent spotting programme earlier this year and the show will be broadcast on Friday, September 5.
Hundreds of young contestants travelled to the Jumeirah Group property in March to audition, in the hope of winning a contract with Platinum Records. The event was held in the hotel’s on-site events arena, situated outdoors, with views of the Burj Al Arab.
“Jumeirah Beach Hotel works as a perfect venue for this prestigious event and we were proud to have been chosen for the third season of filming,” said Jumeirah Beach Hotel general manager Mahmoud Sakr.
“The hotel offers the perfect location, with unbeatable Dubai views alongside excellent facilities suitable for accommodating events of this size.
“We also used the conference and meetings areas overlooking nearby Jumeirah streets to manage the arrival of the participants and many friends and families who came to support them. We wish the contestants the best of luck in the Arab Idol competition.”
Inspired by the British TV show Pop Idol and succeeding the pan-Arabic Idol series Super Star, Arab Idol premiered in December 2011 and has since gained a strong following in the UAE and across the Middle East.
