King Abdulaziz City of Science & Technology (KACST) is teaming up with the Ministry of Commerce and Riyadh Exhibition Company for one of the region’s largest e-commerce events. E-commerce Saudi Arabia 2001, which will run from May 6th to the 10th in and around Riyadh, addresses “vital areas of concern,” surrounding the hardware, software and services needed to go online, says Fahad Al Hoymany, director general of the Internet Services Unit, within KACST.The conference is looking to attract speakers from all areas of the industry, including both vendors and technical managers.Running in parallel to the conference and exhibition is a series of workshops and seminars tackling new technologies for both the channel and the working IT professional.“This series offers an ideal opportunity to introduce state of the art technologies to the most important buyers in the Middle East Region,” said a press statement on the E-commerce exhibition web site.
