Kathrein showcased a selection of its 4500-plus telecommunications offerings at at ITU Africa 04 as it attempted to grow its market share.
Kathrein showcased a selection of its massive product range at ITU Africa 04. With over 4500 telecommunications offerings, the vendor boasts that it is both the oldest and the largest manufacturer of antenna system technology around today.
The company makes satellite and terrestrial antenna systems for radio and TV, processing units and distribution technology for networks and domestic applications.
Also part of a diverse portfolio are broadband communication systems for cable networks, base station antennas for mobile communication, applications for the police, railway, fire brigade or aeronautics services, broadcast antenna system for FM, TV, DAB and DTV, filters, combiners and amplifiers and car aerials as well as multimedia automotive systems.
Kathrein also starred at the recent formula-1 racing event held in Bahrain. The company delivered several complete reception units, two of them including 1.8-meter parabolic antennas.
“Complete distribution material such as plugs, distributors, taps and filters were also provided,” says Kathrein’s chief executive Professor Dr Anton Kathrein, a motor sport enthusiast himself.
