Companies sign agreement to open the largest entertainment, education, and learning project in the UAE
KidzMondo and Aldar Properties have announced plans to open the largest entertainment, education, and learning project in the UAE.
The first KidzMondo theme park in the UAE is being planned at The Mall at World Trade Centre Abu Dhabi (WTCAD) after a leasing agreement was signed by the two companies, a statement said.
The central idea of KidzMondo is to develop a small-scale city built for and ruled by children between the ages of 2 to 14. The miniature city has its own economy and even uses its own currency called Kidlar.
The UAE's first KidzMondo is scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2017 and will "require an extensive financial investment", the statement added.
Ali Kazma, chairman of Kidz Holding and founder of the KidzMondo concept, said: "We have always regarded the GCC countries, especially the United Arab Emirates, as a strategic market for our innovative educational and entertainment projects.
"We also expect to achieve great success through the signing of this agreement with one of the most important players in the UAE market. This step supports our plan for further deployment throughout various countries of the world - most particularly the Arab countries in the Arabian Gulf."
KidzMondo theme parks are currently located in several countries including Lebanon, Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. For all the latest retail news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
