KTV scores new Saudi deal

UAE LCD TV manufacturer secures KSA order.

Jebel Ali-based LCD panel manufacturer KTV Middle East has secured a further order for 400 LCD TVs from the Ramada Hotel chain based in Saudi Arabia.

The contract, which will see the TVs installed in the chain's Ramada Al-Mubarakiyya Hotel in Al-Dammam, follows on from a deal last year in which KTV supplied 2000 LCD TVs, which were installed in the Ramada Al-Hamra and Ramada Al-Qibla hotels -both located in Madina Al-Munawwarah - the Al-Qaseem-based Ramada Al-Bukaira and Ramada Continental Hotel in Jeddah.

KTV manufactures Crystal-branded television receivers in sizes ranging from 20-inches to 82-inches.

Commenting on the agreement, Abdullah Abubakar Baashin, KTV's director of Operations in the Middle East, said: "This agreement re-affirms the success of KTV's marketing strategy, which targets hotel projects across the Gulf region."

Baashin explained the company was also close to signing a similar agreement with a hotel group "managed by a reputable international hotel company of the same status as Ramada."
