A Kuwait Airways aircraft carrying 233 passengers and crew was forced to make an emergency landing in Brussels while en route from Kuwait to London after on board systems alerted to smoke in the cargo hold, it was reported.

The incident took place on July 28 about 25 miles east of the Belgian capital, the Aviation herald reported.

"The aircraft landed safely on Brussels' runway 25R about 20 minutes later, attending emergency services found no trace of fire, heat or smoke," the report said.
