Kuwait’s national football team coach is currently in intensive care after being shot, according to the Kuwait Football Association (KFA).
Serbian Guran Tufegdzic underwent surgery to remove a bullet from his body, KFA’s statement said. The KFA said the shooting occurred while vacationing in his home country, without giving further details.
KFA’s media coordinator confirmed that the coach is in stable condition.
Tufegdzic was appointed coach of Kuwait in February 2009.
