Drake and Scull International (DSI), has won a US $8.1 million (KD2.35 million) contract with Kuwait’s State Audit Bureau (SAB) to revamp its building technology infrastructure.
DSI will be the main contractor for the project and will implement a multi-service network for overall project management and system integration.
This is the second recent contract win for DSI in Kuwait.
The agreement with SAB follows a $30.8 million contract signed with Kuwait’s Public Authority for Applied Education and Training to carry out electro-mechanical works on the Special Training Centre at its College of Technological Studies in the Shuwaikh district of Kuwait City.
“This is yet another significant gain for us,” commented DSI executive director Khaldoun Al Tabari.
“Drake and Scull is now extending the expertise and thorough market knowledge it has acquired over four decades of operations in the UAE to Kuwait in a big way, where the company has bagged several prestigious projects.
“The State Audit Bureau is the latest high-profile organisation in Kuwait to seek our state-of-the-art facility management solutions and we are pleased to associate with them.
All works will be carried out in adherence to international quality norms and the project will be completed and handed over within the stipulated timeframe,” he added.
DSI will adopt a wide range of advanced solutions at SAB including an intelligent notification and integration system that the firm will deploy via gps/gprs in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the Kuwait Fire Brigade and the ambulance service.
