Logistics firm appointed by international restaurant chain to source goods, consolidate shipments
Logistics firm Agility said on Monday it has been appointed by Nando's, the international restaurant chain, to provide supply chain solutions for the UAE, Kuwait and Oman.
As part of the contract, Agility will source goods from multiple suppliers, consolidate shipments from the Netherlands and South Africa, freight forwarding and warehousing for Nando's.
Kuwait-based Agility will also distribute Nando's frozen goods and dry food items to their franchise partners, covering the needs of their growing portfolio of restaurants, it said in a statement.
"With a well-established presence and a growing regional footprint, Nando's needed a partner with the expertise, flexibility and assets to help facilitate our development in the Gulf," said Dave Corbett, logistics director, Nando's. "With Agility, we have found that partner."
Houssam Mahmoud, Agility's senior vice president, UAE and Oman, added: "This win is a testament to the strength of our regional capabilities and further proof of our expertise in helping customers expand their business within complex emerging markets."For all the latest transport news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
