Health ministry announces two further deaths while Kuwait University employee also falls sick.
Two further swine flu related fatalities were announced in Kuwait on Sunday, bringing the total number of H1N1 deaths in the Gulf state to 24.
Health Ministry spokesman Dr Qais Al-Dowsiri said that both patients were suffering from chronic diseases before being infected by the H1N1 virus.
The tally of swine flu infectees since April has reached 7,718 in Kuwait, he told KUNA News Agency, most of which were mild cases and had fully recovered.
Separately, a female Kuwaiti employee at the Faculty of Education was diagnosed with swine flu, Kuwait University confirmed on Sunday.
The faculty's administration has sanitised the offices and corridors used by the employee and granted pregnant colleagues and those with medical conditions or low immunity a two-day leave as a preventive measure, public relations director Faisal Maqsid said.
