A Kuwaiti police officer has been arrested for selling police equipment.

Authorities took the policeman into custody for selling equipment used in police patrol cars. These included flashlights and sirens, reported Kuwait Times.

The defendant was attempting to sell the gear through social media.

Police equipment can only be used by police personal. Using it without official permission is considered an illegal act punishable by jail, according to authorities.
