India's Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has recently secured contracts worth US $177.75 million for projects in the hydrocarbon sector in the Gulf.

L&T's Modular Fabrication Facility (MFF) fended off competition from international bidders to secure a $44.95 million order from Technip for the manufacture and supply of ten pre-assembled process modules for handling and processing gas.

The modules will be installed for Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company (ADGAS) on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

The delivery of the modules will be completed in 18 months.

L&T also secured a $51.6 million order from ENOC in Dubai for a Naphtha Hydrotreater and Reformer unit. The project is scheduled to be completed within 16 months.

In Qatar, the company won a $36.4 million contract from the Qatar Petroleum/Shell joint venture for the Pearl GTL Project Package C5 - Liquid processing unit (LPU).

The project will take 29 months.

L&T has also won a $44.8 million contract from Oil Tanking Company in Oman.

All contracts were awarded after an international competition and competitive price bidding process.
