Landscaping work has now begun on the Bahraini real estate development The Lagoon, according to a Bahrain-based newspaper.

Manama-based contractor Al Amin Gardens will work on the landscaping and design work of the development over the next two months, the Gulf Daily News reported.

Located on the Amwaj Islands, The Lagoon is being developed by Abu Dhabi Investment House at an cost of US$90 million.

Al Amin Gardens director Majid Ali Al Amin estimated that the landscaping work would be completed within 50 days.

"Al Amin Gardens is proud to work with ADIH on this important project. We have committed to complete the task in 50 days, in line with the client's goal to deliver on a timely basis," he said.

The Lagoon, which was masterplanned by Australian architects Davenport Campbell, is a commercial development at the heart of Amwaj Island comprising over 55,000m2 of space.
