Our million dollar women feature this month is a must-read for all business women and men contemplating the next step in the corporate world of property development and real estate.
Our interviewees - Amni BinHendi of BinHendi Enterprises, Ivanka Trump of the Trump Organisation, Natasha Gangaramani of Al Fara'a Properties, Billy Rautenbach of Better Homes and Nadia Zaal of Zaya are an inspiration to those pondering the move up the commercial ladder.
While some may have expected our female executives to cite enormous differences with regard to the role they play in comparison to male counterparts, this was not so.
Every woman interviewed spoke of passion for their work, the need for a good education, the hope of more business opportunities for women capable of achieving significant steps in the industry, and all claim to have strived to prove themselves in areas of business - just as male conterparts have done.
These businesswomen didn't complain about the journey to the top of the commercial tree. Positive differences were cited to being women in the workplace.
The UAE is enjoying a property life-expectancy of what can be described as phenomenal. Many companies are enjoying immense success thanks to both female and male employees because essentially what everyone involved has in common is intelligence, passion and an ability to take risks.
The industry, in these prosperous times, might do well to acknowledge such contributions from those shaping the region into the global driving force it is quickly becoming.
