The business lunch review: Caramel DIFC

Caramel Restaurant and Lounge hopes its lunchtime offer is one that DIFC's business elite can't refuse

The business lunch review: Caramel DIFC

Business lunches are a dime a dozen, especially when it comes to the Dubai’s International Financial Centre, where there are restaurants, cafes and lounges in abundance.

So what makes the business lunch at Caramel Restaurant and Lounge special? The price. For under $20, diners get two courses and a high standard.

First courses are light and tasty — including the likes of crunchy tuna rolls and chicken lettuce bites.

Expect light portions — that won’t leave you feeling overwhelmingly full — that come out of the kitchen at speed. The staff at Caramel understand the value of a quick lunch. Main courses are larger in size, and in flavour.

Grilled tiger prawns are fresh each day, and are served alongside a rich and lightly textured mushroom and spinach risotto. There’s even prime cuts like Wagyu on the budget menu.

With a bustling atmosphere yet relaxed decor created around the ‘caramel’ colour theme, the restaurant is certainly a worthy destination for a value-for-money business lunch.

Its spacious yet cosy outdoor terrace also makes for a fresh alternative to sitting inside a stale office.
