If you’re looking for a sophisticated venue to impress your business prospect, Marea offers elegance and style alongside an exceptional menu.

The original outpost occupies a prestigious corner of New York overlooking Central Park and perfects the balance of style, substance and a ‘hot table’ desirability that most establishments would kill for.

Serial restaurateur Michael White’s DIFC outpost hopes to recreate the recipe in Dubai.

DIFC has arguably become a hub for high-end, fashionable food and Marea – which means tide in Italian – fits into its new home perfectly, offering the city’s discerning power brokers unimpeachable flavours driven by an allegiance to top ingredients.

Head Chef Yunus Emre Aydin presents high-end seafood and Italian dishes in a setting that mirrors the NYC interiors closely, including a signature backlit panel. A selection of sophisticated crostini sets the stage; the well curated lunch menu offers a selection for a commendably priced  AED125, while the a la carte allows the full talents of the team to shine.

CEO Middle East recommends the Astice, a decadent serving of burrata topped with lobster, basil, and eggplant, or Polipo, a dish of grilled octopus, smoked potatoes, radish, pickled red onions and chili. House-made pasta dishes are transcendently flavoured – the gnocchetti with red shrimp and chillies, or spaghetti bejewelled with morsels of seafood raise the bar for Italian food in the city.

There are meat dishes amidst the seafood, and although seafood is Marea’s focus, its sophistication means ornamental nets or beach-hut décor don’t come into the equation. Instead, astute, intelligent service, a commendable drinks list and sleek décor conspire to offer the ideal setting in which to cement the business relationship between you and your dining partner in the most agreeable way possible.
