“The Montblanc logo has been reworked, reinvented and given a new treatment for this leather capsule collection. Our reimagined visual identity is made for those who like to rewrite the rules,” says Zaim Kamal, Montblanc Creative Director. The Sartorial Calligraphy collection sees black Saffiano leather emblazoned with a distinctive white overprint; the wallet holds up to 12 cards and has a zip-around to store coins and banknotes securely inside.
A pioneer of writing culture since 1906, Montblanc turns its attentions to contemporary lettering styles in this collection that features an expressive reworking of the Montblanc name, printed in white onto Saffiano leather. The backpack features adjustable straps and a zip closure, with the monochrome design artfully wrapping around the base of the bag.
In a process that takes three months to complete, an ancient Japanese lacquering technique is applied to the cap and barrel. Paper thin layers of urushi lacquer are painstakingly added by hand, with gold powder and tiny particles of abalone applied over the top. The eternal beauty of calligraphy and the ethereal beauty of a cherry tree adorn this highly collectible piece, which is completed with white and yellow gold.
With a delicate calligraphy pattern adorning the black PVD finish, these round stainless steel cufflinks are the perfect finishing touch for a man who appreciates life’s fine details.
