Chinese auto giant OMODA & JAECOO unveils pet-friendly cars, robot dogs at 2024 Global Summit

Chinese automotive manufacturer OMODA & JAECOO unveiled its latest vehicles and robotic innovations at its International User Summit in Wuhu, China, drawing 2,000 attendees from across the globe.

The company introduced the OMODA C7 and JAECOO J5 models during the five-day event.

The JAECOO J5 features contact charging ports, camping lights, and a 1,250 KG towing capacity. The vehicle includes pet-specific features such as antibacterial, fur-filtering air purifiers and extended seats.

In partnership with AIMOGA, the company presented two robots: Mornine, which assists customers with car purchases, and Argos, a quadruped robotic dog capable of voice recognition, movement tracking, and performing actions like dancing.

The summit included a Car Refitting Competition where participants from 10 countries submitted custom versions of the OMODA C5.

A cycling event in collaboration with the International Union for Conservation of Nature attracted 2,000 cycling enthusiasts.

The JAECOO J7 PHEV completed a long-range challenge, travelling 1,353 kilometres from Guangzhou with a fuel consumption of 3.3 litres.

The vehicle achieved a pure electric range of 125.2 kilometres, surpassing its 1,200-kilometre benchmark.
