The first digital license plate valuation tool in the UAE has revealed the most sought-after number plates across the Emirates, with Dubai’s prestigious combinations commanding significant estimated values, according to data from BuyAnyCar’s newly launched platform.

Saygin Yalcin, founder and CEO of SellAnyCar.com revealed to Arabian Business the ten most searched plates in the tool’s first days of operation, along with their estimated valuations.

Most-searched UAE number plates

  1. Dubai A1: AED100+ million
  2. Dubai F1111: AED3.9 million
  3. Abu Dhabi Code 1, No. 1: AED76.5 million
  4. Dubai P7: AED45 million (sold for AED55 million in 2023 charity auction)
  5. Dubai G23: AED4.5 million
  6. Dubai A1111: AED4.1 million
  7. Dubai CR7: Listed as “invaluable” due to special status (estimated AED45 million if standard)
  8. Dubai A7: AED45.9 million
  9. Dubai A2: AED71.4 million
  10. Dubai AA1: AED98 million

The data shows Dubai plates dominating user interest, accounting for 67 per cent of all valuations processed through the platform. For context, in 2008, Abu Dhabi’s plate bearing number 1 and code 5 sold for AED52.2 million at auction, demonstrating the market’s historical appetite for prestigious combinations.

Regional analysis reveals Abu Dhabi plates represent 14 per cent of all valuations requested, followed by Sharjah at 5 per cent. Ajman and Fujairah each account for 4 per cent of searches, while Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain represent 3 per cent each.

The tool, which processes approximately 50,000 valuations daily, includes disclaimers noting that all values provided are estimates rather than definitive valuations.

These estimates are based on market data and historical sales, though actual transaction prices may vary significantly, particularly in auction settings where charitable causes can drive prices above market estimates.
