Dubai Design Week to take place in October

Event will take place alongside the commercial design fair, Downtown Design

The Dubai Design and Fashion Council (DDFC) has announced the launch of the Dubai Design Week, which will take place at the Dubai Design District (d3) from the 26th to the 31st of October.

The event will feature installations from local and international designers, a programme of activities, shows from global design universities, and exhibitions from UAE-based and international designers and brands.

In addition, there will be a programme of talks and workshops in support of local designers, who will showcase their work to the audience.

Dubai Design Week will take place alongside the commercial design fair, Downtown Design, from the 27th to the 30th of October.

The fair is dedicated to exhibiting new designs, products, trends, and concepts.

The Dubai Design Week will also be discussed and officially announced at the Urban Majlis, a quarterly event organized by the Dubai Design and Fashion Council (DDFC).

The purpose of the Majlis is to go over key updates and advances within the design industry.

The event will be held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman and Dubai Culture & Arts Authority.

It will be managed by the Art Dubai Group in partnership with d3.
