Lifewood lands in Middle East

Hong Kong-based Lifewood has landed in Dubai with an innovative server offering and is on the lookout for potential partners.

Hong Kong-based Lifewood has landed in Dubai with an innovative server offering and is on the lookout for potential partners. Lifewood will target the region’s small and medium business (SMB) market with its onesolution server, a product it claims is perfectly suited to small offices.

“This product is powered by Linux, incorporates a wireless LAN for connectivity and a hefty hard drive — the best of breed from Europe and the US coupled with Asian manufacturing prowess,” said Ronald Cheung, managing director at Lifewood.

“Lifewood specializes in all-in-one technology products, digital convergence solutions, and has offerings for both consumers and SMBs to meet all their IT requirements. We’ve launched ourselves in both the European and African markets and the time is right for the Middle East,” he added.

In addition to its distributor recruitment drive, Lifewood will also look to partner with systems integrators and second-tier resellers capable of delivering a true value-added solution to the target customer base.

“As any smart IT player knows, the money isn’t in the hardware, but the accompanying support they can provide. SMBs cannot always afford to have in-house staff and they come to rely on their integrator. With our products, partners will enjoy a steady revenue stream.”

Lifewood signed up Benin-based distributor HPC Informatique in May to cover Africa and now wants Dubai-based distributors on board to complete its Middle East and Africa (MEA) channel footprint. Other products in Lifewood’s portfolio include digital media players and software applications.
