LINKdotNET users get turbo-charged

LINKdotNET has unveiled a web accelerator called Link Turbo that will enable its dial-up users to browse the web at speeds upto five times faster than before.

LINKdotNET has unveiled a web accelerator to help its dial-up users increase their web-surfing speed dramatically. Link Turbo, which is powered by a new technology called Propel Accelerator, allows the ISP’s dial-up users to browse at speeds up to five times faster than before. For this, customers of LINKdotNET have to download the LINK Turbo software from www.link.net.“With Link Turbo, our users will be able to browse the internet much faster than before, using their same, reliable dial-up service,” says Karim Souka, Link@Home director. “This strategic partnership with an innovative award-winning Silicon Valley company vastly improves our subscribers’ internet experience and reinforces our ability to meet their surfing needs,” he adds.LINKdotNET is the first regional ISP to work with Propel Software Corporation. The free service uses acceleration, caching and persistent connection to improve surfing. Proprietary technology delivers text and graphics more efficiently and carefully manages and optimises the computer-to-server link. Intelligent caching retains and reuses web pages and page elements previously visited.
