Mohammed Al Khadar and his colleagues at Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (Abu Dhabi UPC) have been extremely productive over the past 12 months. The planning authority announced 410 villas for UAE nationals, approved plans for the development of Al Ain’s College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), completed master plans for Al Shamkha and Al Shawmekh, and inked memoranda of collaboration (MoCs) with four UAE universities. In June 2015, Al Khadar’s team also approved the Al Reem Island Integrated Concept Master Plan (ICMP), which raised the cap on the island’s future population from 200,000 to 210,000 residents.
