French-Lebanese Elie Khouri is credited with consolidating Omnicom’s three media arms to create the new Middle East business based in Dubai and has since expanded the operation and overtaken some of the region’s established players. In 2004, for instance, the group secured the Dubai government’s consolidated media business account – one of the region’s biggest ever wins and a huge coup for Khouri, who quit his glamorous job at advertising giant BBDO in 2002 to launch Omnicom Middle East.
As CEO of the company, Khouri has worked with a string of high profile clients including PepsiCo, du, Visa, Mercedes-Benz, Dubai Properties Group, McDonald’s, Global Village and IKEA.
