Investment, oil and gas, building material, technology, hospitality, healthcare, real estate; you name it, Hussain Al Nowais has a hand in it. The founder and chairman of Abu Dhabi-based Al Nowais Investments started the firm with just a handful of professionals before turning it into a giant that boasts a turnover of over $1bn and subsidiaries in industries that range from infrastructure to communications.
But Al Nowais did not stop there. The Emirati businessman is the chairman of AMEA Power, which develops and operates thermal and renewable projects in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, as well as the chairman of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, which aims to create “a new generation of Emirati entrepreneurs” that will help progress and build a stable economy.
He is also the chairman of Waha Capital and SENAAT General Holding Corporation, the UAE’s largest industrial conglomerate that raked in revenues of over $3.5bn in 2016.
