Child prodigy Adeeb al Balushi had already invented a light-weight, waterproof artificial foot for his father and a robotic vacuum cleaner for his mother by age ten. He has also developed a device that could save the lives of drivers with heart problems, by detecting inconsistent heart beats and sending an automatic alert to authorities. So it’s no wonder that the GEMS Wellington Academy pupil was named a ‘Future Star’ at the Arabian Business Achievement Awards 2017. His younger sister Dana, 11, was also recognised as the world’s youngest astronaut candidate by NASA.
