Dubai-based brand management company Top Gear Promotions (TGP) has worked with some of the region’s leading players in almost every industry, from telecoms to real estate and government organisations. Its clients include Etihad, Emaar, Harvey Nichols, Ford, General Electric and Al Jalila Foundation. Its regional success has resulted in its expansion into 20 countries, such as India, Russia, the US and the UK.
It offers services across five categories including exhibitions, events, interiors, graphics and audio visual. Since its launch back in 1995, it has custom-delivered over 3,000 projects. Today, it employs more than 200 individuals and operates over 100,000 sq ft of production facilities in its three locations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
One of its strengths is its ability to work to tight deadlines while delivering high-quality work, according to a testimonial from its client Masdar, the renewable energy and sustainable urban development. Co-founder Omar Rahman told Arabian Business one of the biggest issues in the market is exhibition marketers’ struggle to justify large budgets, while having difficulties proving returns on investment.
“Your stand is the gateway to return-on-investment; it doesn’t make sense to cut costs here, he said. “Aside from floor space, this should be your big-ticket budget item. That’s not to say you must go all-out if your budget is limited. You don’t have to be loud to be noticed, and finesse consistently beats raw spending power.”
Alongside co-founder Alexander Maddock, Rahman created TGP to identify common mistakes exhibitors make, and instead maximise ROIs by working efficiently within set budgets.
TGP is also committed to applying the UAE government’s green and sustainable initiatives, which is why it launched Clean Green. The venture delivers sustainable and recyclable digital printing and signage for exhibitions.
Furthermore, the company is part of the Emirates Green Building Council (Emirates GBC), which promotes sustainable products in the UAE’s building industry.
One of the most challenging projects TGP delivered was the transformation of 35,000 sq ft at a vehicle service centre into a state-of-the-art innovation centre – fit for VIP functions – in under three months.
