Year established 1974
Patchi’s story began in 1974 with one single piece of chocolate, the one that set Nizar Choucair on his journey into the refined world of luxury confectionary. Exactly a decade later, Patchi opened its first boutique in Dubai, UAE, which was followed by boutiques in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Sharjah.
In 2017, with 35 boutiques across the seven emirates, Patchi broke ground on an 11,330 sqm production facility in Dubai Industrial Park (DIP) which will be the chocolatier’s largest production facility in the world. Due to open in the first quarter of 2019, Patchi UAE’s daily production capacity will increase from five to ten tons.
Patchi’s current facility at Dubai Industrial Park became notable as the first firm at DIP to earn a halal accreditation from the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA).
Patchi currently ranks third out of 155 confectionary brands at Dubai Duty Free, which is the world’s largest duty free store.
