The journalist and a political analyst has been a common sight on TV screens in the US and the Middle East, offering her authoritative insight on a range of issues – mainly concerning the politics of the Middle East and her native Lebanon.
She is also the founder of the Beirut Institute and a columnist for publications such as the Huffington Post and Arab News. She served as Columnist, Senior Diplomatic Correspondent, and NY Bureau Chief for the London-based Al-Hayat for 28 years. In 1997, she also served as the president of the United Nations Correspondents Association.
In 2017, her work was recognised with the Arab Woman Award by the Arab Foundation of London and Regent’s University. Prior to that, in 2011, she was among 100 Most Powerful Arab Women by Arabian Business.
