Obviously the “Expo” brand is an international one but, much like the Olympics, it’s incumbent on each host city to infuse the event with as much individual personality as possible – and Dubai has perhaps done more than most.

From the unique logo, based on a ring found at a 4,000-year-old archaeological site in the UAE desert, to the site itself, which is helping to shift the gravitational pull of the city southwards, the Expo is both reflecting and reshaping Dubai.
