Company: Nomadic Capital Limited
Lebanon-born Ziad Ghosn is a serial entrepreneur with 15 years of experience in various sectors. Having lived in the UAE for more than two decades, he has acquired market knowledge that helps him make strategic decisions in his endeavours.
Having graduated summa cum laude from the American University of Dubai and with a master’s degree in international business from London, Ghosn worked in the corporate arena at the likes of Wunderman, Y&R, Emirates Lebanon Bank and Pragma Group before finally deciding to open his own start-up three years ago.
That was Nomadic Capital, which was established to introduce a range of innovative solutions to the GCC by either incubating potentially successful ideas or creating new businesses of its own – including those in the emerging cryptocurrency space. The business recently received the International Business Excellence Award for best innovation in food and beverage, and was a finalist in the 2017 Gulf Capital SME Awards.
One of its mobile apps, Pushdot, has been described as one of the top 50 start-ups to watch in the UAE and won a host of regional awards.
