Oussama Choucair was born and raised in Beirut Lebanon, pursued his higher education in Paris and holds a BA in Business Administration from France. He’s a board member of Patchi’s conglomerate, which was started by his father Nizar Choucair in 1974 in Beirut, Lebanon. Since 1984, Patchi established a strategic partnership in the UAE with businessman Abdullah Mohamed Al Mazrui, chairman of Al Mazrui Holding and Mazrui International LLC.
Nizar Choucair’s passion for premium chocolate gifting was translated to his son, and Oussama currently heads the business in the Emirates as CEO of Patchi UAE. He overlooks the operation of the UAE market with bigger plans of expanding the retail and corporate divisions. Part of Choucair’s UAE portfolio is building the new factory in Dubai Industrial Park which will be Patchi’s largest manufacturing plant worldwide.
Choucair is also the CEO of Patchi’s Franchising Division and Travel Retail, which is responsible for expanding the business to new markets through allying with the right strategic partners. The current network spans across Armenia, Azerbaijan, Brunei, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, and East Asia. Moreover, he also oversees Patchi’s Travel Retail division which is an expanding business for the group and is looking to enter new markets to benefit from the growth this industry is projected to face.
Through his vision and strategical planning, Patchi ranked as a top brand in Dubai Duty Free breaking records to reach number 1 among over 155 chocolate and confectionery brands sold there.
