Leading Nakheel after the economic crisis was no easy task but Ali Rashid Lootah has brought the company back to profitability, with net profits of AED4.38bn for 2018. Its non-development businesses – retail, leasing, hospitality and asset management – all performed strongly and are expected to grow further.
Nakheel’s portfolio includes 19 retail projects, 18 hotels and serviced apartment complexes with 6,600 keys and 24 restaurants in Dubai.
