At a young age, Adani embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by setting up power looms under the name of VR Textile in Mumbai, India. He soon expanded into trading more commodities, such as sugar, oils and metals, and set up global operations in Singapore and the Middle East.
Today, he is a leading executive at the billion-dollar Indian conglomerate, The Adani Group, chaired by his elder brother Gautam Adani. He was born into a Jain family in Gujarat and completed his post-graduation in engineering from the US.
Headquartered in Dubai, Adani Global Investment has activities in commercial enterprises and management.
