Logica plays host to local operators with two day seminar

Two day event promises to deliver a hands-on perspective of the technical and business challenges facing mobile operators.

Logica is offering the region’s telecoms operators the opportunity to get to grips a range of issues with a two-day seminar in Dubai. The event will consist of workshops and case studies focusing on the deployment of forthcoming mobile services. The seminar’s 25 sessions will include workshops covering next generation networks, intelligent messaging, mobile marketing and support services. Logica is also hoping to cover next generation mobile technologies such as multimedia messaging and unified payments. The event will also include opportunities for attendees to network with peers and share experiences in implementing the latest telecoms technologies.“Telecoms executives attending the Logica mobile seminar will receive two primary benefits — a hands-on perspective of the solutions and technologies that will enable greater revenue potential for their organisation, as well as a forum in which to candidly discuss the challenges and opportunities that they are facing as an industry,” says Derek Kemp, Logica’s CEO for the Middle East. “The mobile telecoms industry in the Middle East is entering a period of dramatic change, raising the complexity, growth potential and risk faced by operators here. In this shifting market environment, the operators which will thrive are the ones best able to create a set of services, technologies, content and revenue models that enable flexibility, innovation, growth and cost-effectiveness,” adds Kemp.To represent the region's telecoms sector, Logica has invited key representatives from its regional clients, including Batelco, Jordan’s Fastlink, Kuwait based MTCG, LibanCell from Lebanon, OmanTel, Saudi Telecommunications Company and Click Vodafone in Egypt. Decision-makers from the leading mobile operators in the Asia Pacific region are also expected to attend the Logica event in Dubai. The event will run from the 13th to 15th of May.
