Logicom launches Cisco academy

Logicom gathered some 60 networking resellers together for its inaugural Logicom Cisco Academy Day in Dubai on 18th January.

Logicom gathered some 60 networking resellers together for its inaugural Logicom Cisco Academy Day in Dubai on 18th January. The training event featured product updates, case studies, a live end-user solution demonstration and the launch of Stonevoice, an application suite that runs over Cisco IP telephony infrastructure.

"This highly interactive event was very well received by the reseller channel and they suggested us to hold more of such events in future. It's our endeavour to add value to our channel. In today's competitive market place having the right knowledge & sales tools will enable our partners to improve their Cisco business,” said Hemant Parmar, GCC Cisco business unit manager at Logicom.

Channel systems engineer, Hossam El Bajoury, and SMB channel development manager Irfan Khan of Cisco talked about and demonstrated Cisco’s latest products and voice over IP to the Logicom partners. Logicom's networking sales engineer, PS Shemeer, discussed and explained Cisco solution case studies.

The climax of the day saw participants on the training day split into teams and allowed to design their own Cisco solution network and submit their proposal — turning the event into a real-life end-user situation. The proposals were validated and evaluated by Hossam and the two winning teams were given prizes by Logicom.
