London Soho comes to Dubai Media City

TriMedia Broadcast to demonstrate latest digital video technology at Dubai Media City.

TriMedia Broadcast shall be showcasing the latest developments in digital video technology at Dubai Media City 15-16 May 2002. TriMedia Broadcast, based in the Soho district of London, will be demonstrating cutting edge DV production technology, which is currently being used in the major European broadcast and film production houses. Production, post-production, editing and transmission technologies will all be represented. On show will be the Matrox family of digital video solutions including Incite, a non-linear editing package, and Digisuite, with its ability to capture and play Mpeg2 clips for use in automated clip play-out servers. Also being shown is the GlobeCaster production switcher from GlobalStreams. This software led switcher enables broadcasters, both commercial and corporate, to produce, present and deliver their own studio-quality broadcasts via television, cable, satellite and the internet. This all-in-one solution can be operated by one person, thereby reducing equipment and labour costs associated with traditional broadcast environments, but combines all of the power of a traditional production studio. GlobeCaster also has a built in virtual set function, complete with real time reflections and refractions. An example of the virtual set capabilities will be demonstrated. In addition to other manufacturer’s products, TriMedia will also be showing their prototype of FlexiKey, a portable screen background for use in chroma key production. The screen, used in conjunction with a blue or green light emitter ring which attaches to the camera lens, produces a perfect key with minimum lighting and effort. FlexiKey will be shown in conjunction with the virtual set.Demonstrations will take place on an exhibition stand in the Dubai Media City lobby starting at 8:30. Admission is free.
