Abu Dhabi retail giant investing $300m in Thiruvanathapuram shopping centre
The Lulu Group has broken ground on what will become India’s second-largest shopping centre, the $300 million Lulu Mall in the Keralan city of Thiruvananthapuram.
The mall is spread over a 19-acre space located next to the National Highway in the Akkulam district of the city.
Scheduled to be completed by early 2019, the mall will house a Lulu hypermarket as an anchor store, alongside a 150-room hotel and convention centre.
The centre will also feature a food court, a family amusement centre, and a nine-screen cinema.
Lulu Group is currently developing another mall in Kochi, which will be India’s biggest when completed. For all the latest retail news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
