MAF Fashion CEO to kickstart Women’s Forum
Asil Attar, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Fashion, will be the opening keynote speaker at this year’s second annual Arabian Business Women’s Forum.

Global fashion expert Asil Attar, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Fashion, will be the opening keynote speaker at the second annual Arabian Business Women’s Forum, currently underway at Jumeirah Emirates Hotel in Dubai.

Attar began her fashion career as a buying manager at Qatar-owned Harrods and has held senior executive posts with Karen Millen, Whistles and Jigsaw as well as creative director for a luxury New York based accessories brand.

Described as “a builder of dream teams”, she has been responsible for bringing together a team of talented designers from McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace to name a few, to launch their own labels.

Following the overwhelming success of last year’s inaugural event, the Arabian Business Women’s Forum 2012 brings together businesswomen from all sectors across the GCC to discuss the challenges and opportunities in business for women.

The conference will be hosted by broadcast journalist Rebecca McLaughlin-Duane and opens with a number of talks and a panel discussion.

Throughout the day, the audience will hear from keynote speakers who are at the top of their given field and who will share their journeys and business philosophies on success and growth.

After lunch, the attendees will take part in an interactive session focused on engaging talent to drive innovation, growth and a fantastic work culture in the 21st century.

Other prominent speakers will include Maryam Al Murshedi, Deputy Director General at the Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority, Holley Chant, Sustainability Director at KEO International Consultants, Zeina Tabari, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Drake & Scull, Basmah Mosleh Omair, Executive Director of the Al Sayedah Khadijah Businesswomen Centre in Jeddah, Noor Sweid, Managing Director of Strategy at DEPA and Sara Ismail Mohamed, Board Member and CEO, Al Bashayer Investment Company.
