Mahan Air to fly to Turkey

Iranian carrier adds Istanbul to its route network.

Private Iranian carrier Mahan Air will launch flights from its Tehran home base to the Turkish capital of Istanbul on March 15.

"The five times weekly service to Istanbul marks a new chapter in the airline's history as it enters one of the world's fastest growing air travel markets," explained the airline's director of marketing and route management, Hossein Hosseini.

"A city known for its magnificent history and dynamic economy, Istanbul has established itself as one of the world's fastest growing leisure and business destinations."

Mahan Air's flights to Istanbul will operate daily except Monday and Tuesday leaving Tehran at 16.00 and arriving in the Turkish capital at 18.30.

Hosseini said the flight times connected conveniently to other routes served by Mahan Air including Bangkok, Delhi and Dubai.

Mahan Air will operate two class Airbus A320 and A310 equipment on this route.
