Consumer Electronics segment hosts display, notebook PC and mobile technology specialists.
Major consumer electronics companies including Panasonic, Sanyo, Samsung and Sharp will debut a raft of exciting products at GITEX Technology Week.
The rivalry has resulted in a range of stand-out products, from mini-notebook PCs as small as a paperback book, to ultra-large widescreen displays. While Sharp's range boasts eco-friendly and health-conscious features and demonstrate the company's innovation in LCD technology and solar energy, Panasonic is also set to impress with its 150-inch plasma high-definition television.
"GITEX Consumer Electronics is one of the most exciting segments of GITEX Technology Week," says Helal Saeed Almarri, director general of Dubai World Trade Centre, the show organiser. "It offers an exclusive insight into the most sought after technologies set to hit the market."
Other highlights include the electronics fashion show, Gadget Glam; and GITEX Digital Game World, which will use advanced technology to link more than 4000 gamers and 280,000 visitors at both GITEX Technology Week and GITEX Shopper. For all the latest tech news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
