Marshalls on track to open regional office

UK-based paving manufacturer and landscape product supplier Marshalls is planning to set up an office in the Middle East, Commercial Outdoor Design can reveal.

UK-based paving manufacturer and landscape product supplier Marshalls is planning to set up an office in the Middle East, Commercial Outdoor Design can reveal.

An opening date has not yet been set but the plan to establish a regional base is definitely still on track, Paul Stark, overseas marketing manager, told COD.

"We have had a degree of success in the region and in order to service the market more professionally, it would be advantageous to have a man on the ground," he said.

Marshalls has supplied paving to a number of projects in the region including Dubai Festival City and Dubai Marina in the UAE, Al Faisaliah Centre in Saudi Arabia, and Al Sharq waterfront in Kuwait.

Setting up a manufacturing operation in the region could also be a plan for the future, Stark added.

"People have asked why don't you manufacture locally and that is something to bear in mind. We don't feel that [manufacturing in another country] is a problem. Having said that I wouldn't eliminate the possibility for the future," he said.

In addition to supplying paving products, Marshalls also supplies street furniture, and offers services related to water management, traffic management, kerbs, and walls.
