Consultants Cansult and Maunsell are to merge – creating one of the largest consulting firms in the Middle East, to be known as Cansult Maunsell.

The merger will form the first Middle East based operating company of Aecom, which now has 17 operating companies worldwide.

Aecom is ranked the world’s number one pure design firm with 28,000 employees across five continents and annual revenue of US $3.4 billion.

Chief executive, Nigel Robinson, said the new Middle East operating company will generate revenues in excess of $100 million, with more than 1,500 employees.

“This initiative reflects Aecom’s commitment to the strong economic growth and major construction opportunities in the region and brings together two companies with talented people and powerful brands.”
